Fatal Crash in Bossier Parish

On September 29, 2012, shortly after 9:30 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G investigated a one vehicle crash on LA Highway 527 about 1 mile east of US Highway 71 in Bossier Parish that claimed the life of a Doyline woman.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 1997 Ford Ranger driven by 67-year-old Linda Klemm of Doyline was traveling west on LA Highway 527 when for unknown reasons the truck exited the roadway, crossed a ditch, ran through a field, and came to rest on an field location. Klemm was pronounced dead at the scene by the Bossier Parish Coroner.

A toxicology sample was obtained from Klemm and will be submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.

Troopers urge motorists to remain vigilant while driving and remember that crashes are unexpected events. By taking precautionary steps including never driving while distracted or impaired and always obeying the laws of the road, motorists can substantially reduce their risk of being involved in a crash.
