TROOP G - NEWS RELEASE March 19, 2013 Woman Seriously Injured In Bossier Parish Crash On March 18, 2013, shortly before 6:00 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G investigated a three vehicle crash on LA Highway 3227, less than a mile east of LA Highway 157, in Bossier Parish that seriously injured a Sibley woman. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2005 Hyundai driven by 23-year-old Aleatha Houston of Bossier City was stopped in the east bound lane of LA Highway 3227 waiting to make a left turn. A 2005 Pontiac Sunfire driven by 19-year-old Kristie Bryan of Sibley was stopped behind the Hyundai. The Hyundai was then hit from behind by a 2011 Ford tow truck driven by 33-year-old Joshua Arceneaux of Haughton, pushing it into the Hyundai, and off of the roadway. Houston sustained moderate injuries during the crash and was transported to Willis Knighton Bossier for treatment. Bryan was seriously injured in the crash and was transported by Life Air to LSU Shreveport for treatment. Arceneaux was not injured in the crash. Toxicology samples were obtained and have been submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation. Troopers urge motorists to remain vigilant while driving and remember that crashes are unexpected events. By taking precautionary steps including never driving while distracted or impaired and always obeying the laws of the road, motorists can substantially reduce their risk of being involved in a crash.
