TROOP G - NEWS RELEASE November 15, 2011 Springhill Reserve Police Officer Arrested The Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigation Division and the Springhill Police Department have arrested a reserve officer with the Springhill Police Department for malfeasance in office.On November 9, 2011, the Springhill Police Chief, Will Lynd, contacted Louisiana State Police Region 2 Detectives and requested a joint investigation on an allegation of improper conduct on the part of a Springhill Police Department Reserve Officer. The investigation revealed that on October 14, 2011, Springhill Reserve Police Officer Charles Blanks reportedly had sexual relations with a female prisoner while transporting the female to the Webster Parish prison. On November 14, 2011 LSP Detectives and the Springhill Police Department arrested Blanks and he was booked at the Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center for malfeasance in office.
