Yesterday evening, a crash involving an ATV seriously injured a teenager from Elm Grove, LA.

Troopers responded to the crash around 6:35 pm, which occurred on Pine Hill Road north of LA Hwy 527 in Bossier Parish. The crash involved a 2003 Honda ATV, driven by a juvenile (W/M 16 yrs). The ATV was south bound on Pine Hill Road when the juvenile lost control and exited the right side of the roadway. After exiting the roadway, the ATV collided with a tree.

The juvenile was ejected and was not wearing a helmet. He was transported to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, LA for treatment.

Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.

The public is reminded that it is dangerous and illegal to operate off-road vehicles (i.e. three-wheelers, four-wheelers, and other all-terrain vehicles) on any public roadway in this state.
