TROOP G - NEWS RELEASE
March 30, 2012
Red River Parish Fatal Crash Earlier today, a crash involving a single vehicle killed a man from Campi, LA.
Troopers responded to the crash around 4:30 pm, which occurred on US Hwy 84 east of I-49. The crash involved a 2003 Dodge pickup, driven by Ronald G. Miley (W/M 67 yrs). The Dodge was east bound on US Hwy 84 when Miley lost control and exited the right side of the roadway. After exiting the roadway, the vehicle collided with a culvert before overturning.
Miley was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected. He was pronounced dead.
Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
Louisiana State Police would like to take this opportunity to remind/inform motorists that properly wearing your seatbelt will dramatically reduce your chance of being injured or killed in a crash. We ask you to take one second to “buckle up!”
In 2012, Troop G Troopers have investigated four (4) fatal crashes resulting in four (4) deaths.
