TROOP G NEWS RELEASE July 1, 2014 Troopers Arrest Three People for Cocaine Possession Bossier Parish – Early this morning, a State Trooper assigned to Troop G stopped a Chevrolet van for a traffic violation on Interstate 20 east of Bossier City that led to the discovery of cocaine in the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, 39-year-old Jose R. Segovia Ayala of Houston, TX gave consent to search the vehicle he was driving. During the search, Troopers discovered approximately 4.5 pounds of cocaine hidden in the vehicle. Ayala was placed under arrest and charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and conspiracy to distribute cocaine. Two other occupants of the vehicle, 21-year-old Uriel Coria-Coria and 44-year-old Israel Miranda both of Houston, TX were also arrested for possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and conspiracy to distribute cocaine. The estimated street value of the cocaine seized is $86,400. Ayala, Coria, and Miranda all face up to 45 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 if convicted of these crimes. All three were illegal immigrants and were booked into Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility and are facing additional charges through the Department of Homeland Security and the deportation process.
