Serious Injury Crash In Bossier Parish

Plain Dealing, LA- On April 30, 2013, shortly after 8:30 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G investigated a two vehicle crash on LA Highway 2 at LA Highway 157 that seriously injured a Serepta woman.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 31-year-old Rebecca Wallace of Serepta was traveling west on LA Highway 2 when she struck a fully loaded 2013 Mack log truck/trailer operated by 55-year-old James Stewart of Castor from behind.

Wallace and Stewart were restrained at the time of the crash. Wallace sustained life threatening injuries from the crash. Stewart was not injured. There were no additional occupants in either vehicle.

Toxicology samples were obtained and submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.

Motorists should remain vigilant at all times while behind the wheel and follow all the rules of the road. Following the posted speed limit, never driving beyond the vehicle’s capabilities, always driving defensively, and never taking your eyes off the road are just a few ways to increase safety and decrease the chances of a motor vehicle crash occurring.
