This afternoon troopers began the investigation of a one vehicle crash in south Bossier Parish that killed a man. An initial investigation revealed that Vehicle, a late model tractor trailer, was traveling southbound on LA 157 just south of LA 154. For unknown reasons, the vehicle was operated off the left side of the roadway and traveled down a steep embankment. The tractor trailer then became completely submerged in a bayou. Rescue divers located the driver of Vehicle deceased in close proximity to the cab of the tractor. Alcohol use is not suspected, seatbelt use is unknown.

To this date, Troop G has investigated five (5) fatal crashes resulting in the death of seven (7) people for the year 2009.
