Edmonson, Superintendent News Release February 18, 2009 Marijuana Detected by Odor This morning at approximately 8:00 AM, a Troop G trooper stopped a vehicle in Bossier Parish for Improper Lane Usage. Upon making contact with the driver, the trooper detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver refused to give consent to search. However, due to the overwhelming odor of marijuana, consent from the driver wasn't needed. The trooper then located five pounds of marijuana in the vehicle. The driver, Ronald Anthony Duhon Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama, was placed under arrest and charged with 40:966A Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and 40:979 Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana and Driving Under Suspension.
