Edmonson, Superintendent News Release February 16, 2009 Diaper Bag of Dope This Morning at approximately 9:00 AM troopers stopped a vehicle on I-20 for the violation of Following Too Close. Upon making contact with the driver and the adult passenger, troopers noticed that both drivers appeared nervous as the driver began volunteering inaccurate information about prior arrests. Also in the vehicle were the couple's two children both under three years old. Troopers obtained consent to search the vehicle and located approximately 1 pound of marijuana in 38 individually wrapped packages stored in the children's diaper bag. Tavaris A. King and Krystal G. King, both of Winnsboro, Texas were arrested and charged with: 40:966A - Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute; 40:979 - Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana; 14:91.13 - Possession of CDS in presence of minors Arrangements were made by the troopers to have nearby relatives take custody of the children.
