| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE Colonel Michael D. Edmonson, Superintendent News Release January 4, 2009 Crash Claims Life of LA Tech Student Troopers are investigating a Bienville Parish single vehicle crash that claimed the life of Louisiana Tech Student, 18 year old Christian Miller of Baton Rouge. The vehicle in which Mrs. Miller was traveling was being driven by 24 year old John Boleware of Choudrant. Evidence suggests Mr. Boleware was impaired while operating his vehicle northbound on LA 155 in rural Bienville Parish when he failed to negotiate a curve. Mr. Boleware operated his vehicle off the right side of the roadway where he struck a culvert causing the vehicle to overturn. Mrs. Christian Miller was ejected during the crash and sustained a fatal injury. Boleware and two other occupants sustained minor injuries and were transported to Jackson Hospital. Mr. Boleware has been booked into the Bienville Parish Jail on charges of Vehicular Homicide, two counts of Vehicular Negligent Injuring, DWI, Careless Operation and Failure to Wear Seatbelt. To this date, Troop G has investigated one fatal crash resulting in the death of one person for the year 2009.
