Edmonson, Superintendent News Release – August 4, 2010 Crash in Bossier Parish Claims Two Lives Haughton- Late last night, at 11:35 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a single vehicle crash on Old Plain Dealing Road at LA 160 in Bossier Parish which claimed the life of two individuals. According to investigating troopers, the driver and passenger were traveling south on Old Plain Dealing Road in a 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe when for unknown reasons, the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway, impacted a tree with the front portion of the vehicle, and became engulfed in flames. Both the driver, whose restraint use is unknown, and passenger, who was restrained, were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Bossier Parish Coroner. Speed is suspected to be a factor in the crash. Routine toxicology test results are pending and the crash remains under investigation.
