Edmonson, Superintendent News Release April 07, 2010 Fatal Collision in Webster Parish A three-vehicle crash in Webster Parish resulted in one fatality and four injuries. Around 5:45 this morning, Louisiana State Police Troopers responded to the scene of a crash involving three vehicles. The crash occurred along US Hwy 371 three miles north of Dixie Inn. A 2006 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by thirty-five-year-old Donald Wynn of Springhill, was traveling southbound when he crossed the center line into northbound traffic impacting two oncoming vehicles. As a result of the impact with the leading vehicle, thirty-year-old Liketta Jackson of Minden, was killed as she was driving northbound in her 2004 Pontiac. The third vehicle involved in the crash received secondary impacts from the collision of the first two vehicles. A 2005 Chevy Malibu, driven by thirty-four-year-old Sandra Walker of Dubberly, was northbound travelling just behind Mrs. Jackson and was unable to avoid collision with the crash occurring between the two vehicles in the center of US 371. The restrained driver of the Chevy Malibu, Sandra Walker, was transported to Minden Medical Center with moderate injuries. Mr. Wynn, along with his two passengers in the 2006 Pontiac Grand Am, twenty-nine-year-old Dusti Willoughby of Bossier City and twenty-one-year-old Erica Ashby of Shreveport, were all restrained but still suffered serious injuries and were transported to LSU-S Medical Center in Shreveport via Life Air. Impairment is not suspected to be a factor in this crash, but routine toxicology tests are pending. The investigation is on-going and charges are forthcoming.
