Fatal Crash on LA 191 in DeSoto Parish

The driver of a 2008 Kenworth truck was killed when he crashed his vehicle travelling northbound on LA 191. As the driver was exiting a curve, he crossed the center line and veered left off the roadway. The truck then impacted a metal guard rail and continued south down an embankment and entered a shallow creek. The front-end of the truck impacted the bottom of the creek bed and the truck flipped forward and came to rest in the creek on the driver's side. The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was partially pinned under the cab of the truck. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by DeSoto Parish Coroner Ron Crager. Alcohol is not suspected but speed appears to be a contributing factor.
