| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release February 19, 2008 Commercial Vehicle Driver Arrested for Unusual Cargo On February 18, 2008, at approximately 10:30 A.M., troopers stopped a 2003 Freightliner on I-20 in Bossier Parish for defective equipment and improper lane usage. During the stop, troopers observed the driver’s log book was several days behind and he had a prior criminal history dealing with dangerous drugs. Written consent to search was obtained and the subsequent search of the tractor revealed approximately 87 grams of marijuana and an open bottle of beer. The driver was arrested and transported to the Bossier Parish Jail for possession of marijuana (2nd Offense) and operating a commercial vehicle with an open container of alcoholic beverage.
