Edmonson, Superintendent News Release June 24, 2008 Man Dies in Salt Water Truck Crash On June 24, 2008 at about 5:00 AM, Louisiana State Police Troop G Troopers investigated a one vehicle crash that occurred on La 5 west of La 175 in Desoto Parish that resulted in the death of a tractor trailer operator. The driver of the vehicle, 42 year old Willie C. Harris, was operating a 2004 Mack tractor trailer salt water truck when he failed to negotiate a left hand turn. The vehicle left the roadway to the right and overturned. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Desoto Parish Corner. Mr. Harris was wearing his seat belt and alcohol is not suspected.
