TROOP A NEWS RELEASE Four Mississippi Residents Killed in I-12 Crossover Crash Update: The deceased individuals in the Nissan have been identified as 30-year-old Tobias Jones of Magnolia (driver), 35-year-old Marcus Feltus of Crosby, 36-year-old Natasha Moore and 38-year-old Anya Ewell (both of McComb). This crash remains under investigation. Holden – Shortly after 5:00 am on April 25, 2019, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop A began investigating a fatal crash on I-12 eastbound east of LA Hwy 63 in Livingston Parish. The crash claimed the lives of four Mississippi residents and seriously injured 57-year-old Willie Smith Jr. of Loranger. Smith was properly restrained at the time of the crash and was transported to North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond with serious injuries. All four Mississippi residents were unrestrained and suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash. They were pronounced deceased on scene by the Livingston Parish Coroner’s Office. Impairment is unknown at this time. Routine toxicology samples were taken from both drivers, and will be submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for further analysis. Louisiana State Troopers would like to take this opportunity to remind motorists to always make good decisions while operating motor vehicles. Never drive while impaired, fatigued, or distracted, always ensure every occupant is properly restrained, and follow all traffic laws.
