Edmonson, Superintendent Troop G News Release – July 16, 2011 Store Manager Arrested Following Joint Agency Investigation A joint investigation conducted by Bossier Parish Sheriff’s detectives and Louisiana State Police detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division in Shreveport, resulted in the arrest of a store manager charged with felony theft in Bossier Parish. The results of the four-month-long investigation revealed that between the dates of August 2010 and March 2011, former Out Post Truck Stop employee Richard P. Johnson (B/M; age 38) of Shreveport misappropriated $33, 000 of the company’s funds without consent. At the time of the theft, Johnson was employed as a general manager at the Out Post Truck Stop in Plain Dealing and had been with the company for 17 years. Subsequently, an arrest warrant for felony theft was obtained through Bossier Parish. On July 15, 2011, Johnson voluntarily surrendered to detectives at the Bossier Parish Maximum facility in Plain Dealing where he was booked and charged with one count of felony theft. Anyone convicted of felony theft when the amount exceeds $1,500.00 can be jailed up to 10 years and ordered to pay a fine. Additionally, not only will the amount illegally taken determine the grade of the offense but the offender can be ordered to pay restitution. Arrested: Richard P.
