Edmonson, Superintendent News Release – August 15, 2010 Minden Woman Critically Injured in Motorcycle Crash **UPDATE** A Minden woman who was critically injured in a single vehicle motorcycle crash on August 15, 2010, in Webster Parish has died at LSUMC, Shreveport LA. Donna L. Gray was pronounced deceased August 15, 2010, at 10:15 p.m. by Dr. Youssef as result of injuries sustained from the crash. This makes the 29th person who has died in one of 26 fatal crashes in the Troop G area in 2010. Arcadia – This afternoon on August 15, 2010, at 1:36 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on US 80, 4.4 miles west of LA 154 at milepost 69.4 in Bienville Parish, which critically injured a 45-year-old woman from Minden. According to investigating troopers, 45-year-old Donna L. Gray was driving west on US 80 operating a red 2003 Honda motorcycle when she lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected. Thereafter, Gray and the motorcycle impacted the roadway. Vehicle condition and the wet roadway from a recent rain are suspected factors in the crash. Gray, who was wearing a safety helmet at the time of the crash, was airlifted to LSUMC by Pafford Air One where she remains in critical condition. Speed and impairment are not suspected to be factors in the crash. Routine toxicology test results are pending and the crash remains under investigation. Contact Information: | |||
