Edmonson, Superintendent News Release – December 30, 2010 Haughton Man Dies in Webster Parish Fatality Crash Webster Parish – On December 30, 2010, at 8:45 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a single vehicle crash on Camp Zion Road in Webster Parish near the Bossier Parish line. The crash claimed the life of a man from Haughton, LA. According to investigating troopers, 34-year-old Lance Rich was traveling west on Camp Zion Road in a 2003 Dodge Ram pickup when, for unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the right side of the roadway. As a result, the vehicle entered a grassy ditch area, overturned, and collided with a tree near the driver side door. Rich, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Webster Parish Coroner. Routine toxicology tests are pending and the crash remains under investigation. | |||
