| TROOP G NEWS RELEASE June 27, 2019 70-Year-Old Killed in DeSoto Parish Crash Logansport – On June 26, 2019, shortly after 9:30 p.m., Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop G began investigating a fatal crash involving one vehicle on U.S. Hwy 84, just east of the Texas line. The crash took the life of a man from Texas. The initial investigation revealed the crash occurred as a 2019 Ford Ranger, driven by 70-year-old Dan Husband of Joaquin, was traveling west on U.S. Hwy 84. For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle exited the highway, traveled into a wooded area, and struck an embankment. Husband was pronounced dead at the scene by DeSoto Parish Coroner’s Office. A toxicology sample was obtained and submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
