| TROOP G NEWS RELEASE November 10, 2019 Unrestrained Driver Killed in Bossier Parish Crash Bossier Parish -On November 9, 2019, shortly after 8:30 p.m., Troopers assigned to Louisiana State Police Troop G began investigating a fatal crash on Winnfield Road at Little League Road. The crash took the life of a Princeton man. The preliminary investigation revealed a 1990 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 56-year-old Alton Ross, was traveling east on Winnfield Road. For reasons still under investigation, Ross exited the roadway to the left where it impacted a culvert and began to overturn. Ross, who was not restrained, was ejected from the vehicle and was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Buckling up is the single most effective thing you can do to protect yourself in a crash. Failure to take a few seconds to buckle up can have devastating consequences. Louisiana law requires every person in a vehicle, regardless of seating position, to be properly restrained day or night. A toxicology sample was obtained and will be submitted for analysis. The crash remains under investigation. In 2019, Troop G has investigated 21 fatal crashes resulting in 23 deaths. .
