TROOP G NEWS RELEASE May 11, 2016 Webster Parish Crash Claims the Life of an Alabama Woman Webster Parish-On May 11, 2016, at 3:30 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Interstate 20 around mile post 52 just east of Minden that claimed the life of an Alabama woman. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2015 Volvo Tractor driven by 49-year-old Earl D. Jackson of Tyler, AL was traveling west on Interstate 20 when, for reasons still under investigation, he lost control of his vehicle and exited the roadway, and crashed into a group of trees. Jackson was wearing a seatbelt during the crash and sustained moderate injuries. The passenger of the Tractor, 44-year-old Cynthia Johnson of Montgomery, AL sustained life threatening injuries during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Webster Parish Coroner. Impairment is not suspected, but a toxicology sample was obtained, and will be submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation. Contact Information: | |||
