TROOP G NEWS RELEASE December 9, 2015 Inappropriate Conduct through On-Line Messaging with a Student Leads to the Arrest of a Calvary Baptist Academy Teacher Shreveport, LA –On Tuesday, December 8, 2015, Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit arrested a Calvary Baptist Academy Teacher for indecent behavior with a juvenile, computer aided solicitation of a minor, and prohibited sexual conduct between educator and student. In December 2015, Louisiana State Police received a complaint from a parent who stated that her 16 year old daughter was contacted online and sent inappropriate messages by one of the teachers at Calvary Baptist Academy. LSP Investigators immediately launched an investigation into the complaint and after interviewing the juvenile, Investigators assumed the identity of the juvenile and all correspondence with Rutledge. As a result of the investigation, 25-year-old Kyle Rutledge of Shreveport was arrested and charged with Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor, Indecent behavior with Juveniles, and Prohibited Sexual Conduct between Educator and Student. If convicted of these charges, Rutledge could serve up to 70 years in prison and could be fined up to $75,000.
