TROOP G NEWS RELEASE November 11, 2015 Shreveport Firefighter Arrested For Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor, Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile, and Prostitution Shreveport, LA –On Tuesday, November 10, 2015, Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit assisted by Louisiana State Police Detectives and Caddo Sheriff’s Deputies arrested an “on duty” Shreveport Firefighter for indecent behavior with a juvenile, computer aided solicitation of a minor, and prostitution. The firefighter, 35-year-old Brian Garza of Shreveport was arrested after he facilitated a meeting with what he believed to be a 13-year-old child and her mother for a sexual encounter with both. Once Garza arranged the meeting, he departed the fire station while on duty and traveled to the predetermined location he had chosen, where Troopers were waiting to take him into custody. Upon arrival, Garza was immediately taken into custody and transported to the Caddo Correctional Center where he was booked for indecent behavior of a juvenile, prostitution, and computer aided solicitation of a minor. If convicted of these charges, Garza could serve up to 70 years in prison and could be fined up to $75,000.
