TROOP G NEWS RELEASE March 20, 2017 Bossier Parish Crash Claims the Life of a Shreveport Man Bossier Parish- On Monday, March 20, 2017, shortly before 9:00 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a report of a one vehicle crash on US Highway 80 just west of Chandler Road that claimed the life of a Shreveport man. The preliminary investigation revealed a 2005 Nissan Altima operated by 68-year-old Frederick Ogunyemi of Shreveport was traveling east on US 80 when for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle exited the roadway into the median, struck a cross over, and overturned several times. Ogunyemi sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to University Health Shreveport where he was later pronounced deceased. Impairment is not suspected in this crash; however toxicology samples were obtained and will be submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation. Contact Information: | |||
