TROOP G NEWS RELEASE November 6, 2017 Rollover Crash Claims the Life of a Minden Woman Webster Parish- On Monday, November 6, 2017, shortly before 4:00 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to one vehicle crash on Interstate 20 just west of US Highway 371 that claimed the life of a Minden woman. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2002 Ford F-150 operated by 43-year-old Tammy Lair of Minden was traveling east on I-20, when for reasons still under investigation, Lair lost control of the truck, exited the roadway, and overturned. Lair was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected. Lair sustained fatal injuries during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Webster Parish Coroner. Louisiana law requires motor vehicle occupants to be properly restrained in every seating position, day and night. Wearing a seatbelt significantly reduces the likelihood of being seriously injured or killed as the result of a crash and is the single most effective thing motorists can do to protect themselves.
