TROOP G NEWS RELEASE August 3, 2016 Bienville Parish Crash Claims the Life of a Haynesville Man Bienville Parish-On August 2, 2016, at 7:28 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Interstate 20 about 4 miles east of the Webster Parish line that claimed the life of a Haynesville man. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2006 Mack Truck driven by 33-year-old Patrick Glover of Haynesville was traveling west on Interstate 20 when for reasons still under investigation, the truck exited the right side of the roadway, traveled down a steep embankment, and crashed into a heavily wooded area. Upon arrival, responding Officers found Glover unresponsive in the passenger side floor board. Glover was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash and sustained fatal injuries. Glover was pronounced dead at the scene by the Bienville Parish Coroner. Impairment is not suspected, but a toxicology sample was obtained, and will be submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation. Louisiana law requires motor vehicle occupants to be properly restrained in every seating position, day and night. Wearing a seatbelt significantly reduces the likelihood of being seriously injured or killed as the result of a crash and is the single most effective thing motorists can do to protect themselves.
