TROOP G NEWS RELEASE October 4, 2016 **Update in The Bienville Parish Fatal Crash ** The unidentified woman that lost her life yesterday in Bienville Parish has been identified as 65-year-old Theresa C. Williams of Ringgold. October 3, 2016 Bienville Parish Fatal Crash Bienville Parish-On October 3, 2016 at 4:06 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a report of a crash on US Highway 371 just south of LA 516 that claimed the life of an unidentified female. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by 27-year-old George Arkeem of Minden was traveling north on US HWY 371 when he came upon a woman lying on her back in the north bound travel lane. Arkeem attempted to miss the woman but he was unsuccessful. Arkeem struck her with his vehicle before coming to a stop. The unidentified woman sustained fatal injuries during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Bienville Parish Coroner. Efforts were made to properly identify the woman, but were unsuccessful. Toxicology samples were obtained and will be submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
