TROOP G NEWS RELEASE October 13, 2016 Afternoon Motorcycle Crash Claimed the Life of a Minden Man Webster Parish-On October 13, 2016 at 1:30 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a report of a motorcycle crash on US Highway 371 just north of US Highway 80 that claimed the life of a Minden man. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 1998 Harley Davidson driven by 58-year-old Marvin Griffith of Minden was traveling north on US HWY 371 when for reasons still under investigation, Griffith lost control of the motorcycle, and crashed. Griffith was ejected from the motorcycle during the crash and sustained fatal injuries. Griffith was wearing a DOT approved helmet at the time of the crash. Impairment is not suspected to be a factor in this crash, but toxicology samples were obtained and will be for analysis. This crash remains under investigation. Contact Information: | |||
