Edmonson, Superintendent News Release Date: June 26, 2011 Teenager Killed In Franklin Parish Crash Early this morning, a single vehicle crash killed a teenager from Winnsboro, LA. Troopers responded to the crash around 4:15 am, which occurred on LA Hwy 130 in Liddieville. The crash involved a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Brandon T. Davis (W/M 16 yrs). The Chevrolet was west bound on LA Hwy 130 when Davis lost control and exited the roadway. After exiting the roadway, the vehicle collided with a culvert before colliding with a tree. Davis was not wearing his seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation. Louisiana State Police would like to take this opportunity to remind/inform motorists that properly wearing your seatbelt will dramatically reduce your chance of being injured or killed in a crash. We ask for you to take one second to “buckle up”! In 2011, Louisiana State Police Troop F Troopers have investigated twenty-one (21) fatal crashes resulting in twenty-six (26) deaths.
