News Release December 15, 2010 Lake Providence OMV Employee Arrested
A Lake Providence Office of Motor Vehicles employee was arrested by Louisiana State Police Detectives.
On Tuesday, December 14, 2010, Louisiana State Police Detectives arrested Shuntae L. Taylor (28 yoa from Lake Providence) for four (4) counts of malfeasance in office and four (4) counts of filing or maintaining false public records. The arrest followed a state police investigation that revealed Taylor, an employee of the Lake Providence Office of Motor Vehicles, accepted money for personal gain to issue drivers’ licenses to individuals who did not pass the written portion of the driver’s test.
Taylor was booked into the East Carroll Detention Center on the listed charges.
