News Release June 13, 2011 Lincoln Parish Fatal Crash
A Ruston man has died in a single vehicle fatal crash in Lincoln Parish.
Louisiana State Police Troop F Troopers responded to the crash early this morning at about 1:28 am. The investigation revealed that a 1992 Toyota Camry was traveling south on LA 33, near mile post 10.8, when, for unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the vehicle as he entered a curve. The Toyota ran off the road and entered a wooded area where the car rolled over and caught on fire. The fire completely consumed the vehicle.
The driver, identified as 23-year-old Christopher Andrews from Ruston, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lincoln Parish Coroner's Office. Impairment and seat belt use are unknown.
In 2011, Louisiana State Police Troop F Troopers have investigated eighteen (18) fatal crashes resulting in nineteen (19) deaths.
