News Release June 18, 2011 Detectives Investigate Two Apparent Homicides in Tallulah
On June 17, 2011, at about 8:30 pm, the Tallulah Police Department, the Madison Sheriff's Department, the 6th District Attorney's Office, and Louisiana State Police Detectives responded to a body found in a wooded area inside the city limits of Tallulah. On the morning of June 18, 2011, detectives and officers from the same agencies responded to another body found at Tallulah City Park.
Both victims are black females and homicide appears to be the cause of death in both cases. The victim's names are being withheld pending family notification. Both victims have been sent for autopsies.
Investigators are asking that anyone with any information about these deaths to call the Madison Parish Sheriff's Office at (318)574-1831.
