TROOP F NEWS RELEASE April 24, 2013 Troopers Discover 50 Pounds of Marijuana During I-20 Traffic Stop Ruston, LA- This morning, a state trooper assigned to Louisiana State Police Troop F stopped a 2012 Chrysler 200 for a traffic violation on Interstate 20 eastbound west of Ruston in Lincoln Parish which lead to the discovery of marijuana in the vehicle. Troopers, along with K-9 “Senda,” located approximately 50 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle with an estimated street value of $75,000. The driver, 24-year-old Moran Conley of Hattiesburg, MS, was charged with improper lane use, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and conspiracy to distribute marijuana. The passenger, 30-year-old Ricky Carter of Petal, MS, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and conspiracy to distribute marijuana. Carter and Conley were booked into the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
