TROOP F - NEWS RELEASE December 23, 2012 Fatal Crash in Franklin Parish On December 22, 2012, at 7:10 p.m., Troopers assigned to Louisiana State Police Troop F responded to a crash involving two vehicles on Louisiana Highway 17 south of Interstate 20 that claimed the life of a Delhi woman. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 1992 Chevrolet truck, driven by 40-year-old Felicia Fahedani of Delhi, was traveling south on Louisiana Highway 17 when it crossed the center line and struck a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by 53-year-old Donna Radau of Delhi, that was traveling north. Radau was transported to a hospital in Delhi where she died. Fahedani was transported to Rapides General in Alexandria with moderate injuries. Alcohol use is unknown. Toxicology samples were obtained and will be submitted for analysis. Fahedani was cited with driving left of center. The crash remains under investigation. While the exact cause of this crash has not yet been determined, troopers urge the public to remain vigilant while driving, never drive fatigued, avoid distractions and never drive while impaired through alcohol, drugs or a combination of the two. Making poor decisions such as driving while distracted or driving while impaired can lead to serious injury or death. Troop F has investigated 33 fatal crashes which have resulted in 37 deaths so far this year.
