TROOP F - NEWS RELEASE November 03, 2012 Serious Injury Crash in Ouachita Parish On November 03, 2012, at 12:52 p.m., Troopers assigned to Louisiana State Police Troop F responded to a single vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 838 west of Louisiana Highway 3033 that seriously injured a woman from West Monroe. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 1990 Toyota Corolla driven by 60-year-old Barbara B. Carpenter of West Monroe was traveling east on Louisiana Highway 838 when she traveled off the south side of the road and into a drainage ditch where she struck a concrete culvert. Carpenter suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to Glenwood Regional Medical Center. Alcohol use is not suspected. A toxicology sample was obtained and will be submitted for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
