NEWS RELEASE- Region 2 October 31, 2012 Rayville Man Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography On October 31, 2012, investigators assigned to the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations arrested 27-year-old Christopher S. Browning of Rayville for possession of child pornography. The arrest was made in conjunction with an ongoing Operation Child Watch child pornography investigation. During questioning, Browning admitted to downloading child pornography. Browning was booked into the Richland Parish Detention Center. If convicted on all charges, Browning faces up to a $10,000 fine and up to 10 years in prison. The mission of Operation Child Watch is to rescue children from the potential abuse of child predators by targeting those individuals with sexually explicit images and/or videos on their computers. This is an ongoing effort with other law enforcement agencies. The Louisiana State Police on-line reporting system is available to the public through a secure reporting form that is submitted to investigators.
