Edmonson, Superintendent News Release October 10, 2008 Troop F Motorcycle Units The Louisiana State Police Troop F has been assigned two state police motorcycle units. Senior Trooper Scott Spencer and Trooper Kory York have both completed a rigorous two-week training course in Kenner, La and are now certified as motor officers for the Louisiana State Police. Four Louisiana State Police instructors teach the operator’s course that deals with everything from how to start the motorcycle, maneuvering the motorcycle at slow speeds, traffic stops, and motor officer survival. Each trooper must complete the two-week course before he/she is allowed to get onto the public roadways.
