One Vehicle Crash Kills a Tensas Parish Man |

News Release January 23, 2009 One Vehicle Crash Kills a Tensas Parish Man A man has died after being ejected from his vehicle in a Tensas Parish crash.
The crash occurred on LA 606 in Tensas Parish on January 22, 2009 at about 11:50 pm. A 2004 Chevrolet truck was traveling south on LA 606 when the driver lost control of the vehicle and ran off the roadway into a ditch. The truck then re-entered the roadway where it rolled over several times. The driver, identified as 23 year old Joseph Simpson from St. Joseph, LA, was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Simpson was transported to the Franklin Parish hospital where he later died from injuries he sustained in the crash.
Alcohol use is suspected to be a factor in the crash and toxicology tests are pending.
