| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release March 27, 2008 Serious Injury Crash in Union Parish On March 26, 2008 at 6:25 pm, Louisiana State Police Troopers investigated a serious injury crash on Sardis Firestation Rd in Union Parish. The crash occurred when a 1998 Chevrolet truck, which was traveling south on Sardis Firestation Rd, ran off the right side of the road. The driver then apparently over corrected back to the left where the vehicle left the road and struck a tree. The driver, identified as 22 year old Marcel Banks from Farmerville, LA, had to be extricated from the truck and was transported to LSU-Shreveport Hospital with critical injuries. Alcohol use is not suspected, but routine toxicology tests are pending. Seat belt use is unknown.
