Unrestrained Woman Dies in Lincoln Parish Crash
On January 10, 2008 at 6:13 am, Louisiana State Police Troop F Troopers investigated a two vehicle crash which resulted in the death of a Dubach woman. The crash occurred on LA 33 at the intersection with LA 3072 in Lincoln Parish. A 1990 Dodge Caravan was traveling east on LA 3072 approaching LA 33 when the driver, identified as Juanita M. Hobbs, a 49 year old woman from Dubach, passed through a stop sign at the intersection without stopping. The Dodge struck the side of a northbound 1986 Freightliner Tractor/Trailer being driven by Bruce Gregg Jr, a 58 year old West Monroe man. After the initial collision, the Dodge began to rotate counter clockwise and Hobbs, who was not properly restrained, was ejected from the van. Hobbs was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lincoln Parish Coroner's office. Alcohol use is not suspected to be a factor in the crash, but routine toxicology tests are pending. Gregg was not injured in the crash and no citations have been issued.
In 2008, Louisiana State Police Troop F Troopers have investigated three (3) fatal crashes resulting in three (3) deaths.
