| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release May 8, 2008 Man Dies in Morehouse Parish Crash On May 8, 2008 at about 11:24 am, Louisiana State Police Troop F Troopers investigated a two vehicle fatality crash in Morehouse Parish. The crash occurred on US 425 at milepost 90.8 when, for unknown reasons, a northbound 2004 Suzuki SUV crossed the center line and side swiped a southbound 2004 Peterbuilt tanker truck. After the impact, the Suzuki came to rest on its side in a ditch. The Peterbuilt entered a ditch on the opposite side of the road and then reentered the roadway where it turned over onto its side. The tanker truck was empty at the time of the crash, but blocked both lanes of traffic for over three hours. The driver of the Suzuki, identified as 39 year old Tyson Adcock from Mangham, LA, was transported to the Morehouse General Hospital where he was pronounced dead from injuries he sustained in the crash. The driver of the Peterbuilt, identified as 51 year old Julius Wilson from Roxie, MS, was transported to Morehouse General Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. Alcohol use is not suspected to be a factor in the crash, but routine toxicology tests are pending. Seat belt use in unknown at this time. In 2008, Louisiana State Police Troop F Troopers have investigated twenty (20) fatal crashes resulting in twenty-one (21) deaths.
