News Release May 1, 2010 Tallulah Woman Dies in a Single Vehicle crash
A Tallulah woman has died in a single vehicle crash in Madison Parish.
Louisiana State Police Troop F Troopers investigated the crash on April 30, 2010 at about 7:42 pm. The investigation revealed that a 2004 Dodge Neon was traveling west on US 80 (milepost 192) in the Mound area when, for unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the car and ran off the left side of the road. The car entered a ditch, vaulted into the air and struck the ditch embankment. The car came to rest partially submerged in the ditch.
The driver, identified as 26-year-old Stephanee David from Tallulah, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Madison Parish Coroner's Office. She was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash. Alcohol use is unknown and routine toxicology tests are pending.
Troopers believe the crash actually occurred just after 2:00 am the morning of April 30th and was not discovered until the time reported. The Madison Parish Sheriff's Office had received a missing person report on Stephanee David. She was last seen leaving her place of employment in Madison Parish at about 2:00 am.
In 2010, Louisiana State Police Troop F Troopers have investigated ten (10) fatal crashes resulting in ten (10) deaths. Contact Information, Trooper First Class Mark Dennis Louisiana State Police Troop F Public Affairs Office: (318) 345-2810
