Serious Injury Crash in Lincoln Parish |

News Release March 22, 2010 Serious Injury Crash in Lincoln Parish
Two people have been critically injured in a Lincoln Parish crash.
Louisiana State Police Troop F Troopers investigated the crash on March 21, 2010 at about 6:55 pm. A 1991 Chevrolet Camaro was traveling west on Russell Rd approaching the intersection with LA 563. The driver lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road to the right. The vehicle failed to stop at the intersection and crossed LA 563, running off the road into a ravine. The Camaro traveled approximately 15 feet down the ravine before coming to rest.
The driver, identified as 23-year-old Wallace Pike Jr. from Simsboro, LA, sustained serious injuries in the crash. He was transported to the LSU-Shreveport hospital for treatment.
The occupant in the Camaro, identified as 20-year-old Heather West from Arcadia, LA, was also seriously injured in the crash. She was taken to the Lincoln Parish hospital pending transfer to LSU-Shreveport.
Pike and West were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash. Alcohol use is unknown and routine toxicology tests are pending.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
