Missouri Fugitive Arrested in Morehouse Parish

A wanted man was arrested in Morehouse Parish following a routine traffic stop.

On August 10, 2010, just after 5:00 pm, a Louisiana State Police Troop F Trooper was on patrol on US 425 in Morehouse Parish when he observed a 1991 Ford Taurus with an expired inspection sticker. The trooper also saw that the driver was not wearing his seat belt. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as 34-year-old Donald A. Cunningham.

During a routine computer check, the trooper discovered that Cunningham had an active warrant in St. Louis, Missouri for First Degree Attempted Armed Robbery. After confirming the warrant with the St Louis Police Department, Cunningham was arrested without incident.

Donald Cunningham was booked at the Morehouse Parish Detention Center for the St Louis warrant, the expired inspection sticker and for failure to wear a seat belt. Cunningham will be held pending extradition back to St Louis, Missouri.
