News Release July 20, 2009 Ejected Driver Dies in West Carroll Parish Crash
A Pioneer man has died in an early morning crash in West Carroll Parish.
The crash occurred on LA 577 (milepost 51) at about 4:00 am this morning. A 1996 Oldsmobile Delta 88 was traveling north on LA 577 when, for unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the vehicle and ran off the right side of the roadway. The car went into a ditch, struck a group of trees and became airborne after hitting the ditch embankment. The car came to rest and was engulfed in flames after hitting a large tree.
At some point during the crash, the driver was ejected from the vehicle. The driver, identified as 19-year-old Terry Frazier from Pioneer, LA, was pronounced dead at the scene by the West Carroll Parish Coroner's Office.
