News Release June 19, 2009 Unrestrained Driver Dies in Caldwell Parish Crash
A Grayson man has died after losing control of his vehicle in an early morning crash.
The crash occurred on June 19, 2009 at about 5:15 am on LA 4 (milepost 98.3) in Caldwell Parish. A 2007 Ford F-150 was traveling west on LA 4 when it entered a left hand curve and ran off the roadway to the right. The driver lost control of the vehicle as he attempted to reenter the roadway and again ran off the road to the right. The truck then struck a culvert, went airborne, and struck a large tree.
The driver, identified as 52 year old Jessie E James from Grayson, LA, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Caldwell Parish Coroner's Office. Alcohol use is unknown and routine toxicology tests are pending. James was not wearing his seat belt.
