News Release November 30, 2009 Unrestrained Driver Dies in Caldwell Parish Crash
An unrestrained driver has died after being ejected from her vehicle in a crash.
On November 29, 2009 at about 6:30 pm, Louisiana State Police Troop F Troopers investigated a fatality crash on LA 559 in Caldwell Parish. The investigation revealed that a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse was traveling south on LA 559, near milepost 1.8, when the driver lost control of the car and ran off the left side of the road. The car overturned and struck several trees and a parked pick-up truck before coming to rest.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, identified as 19-year-old Tera Hall from Columbia, was not properly restrained and was ejected from the vehicle in the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Caldwell Parish Coroner's Office. Impairment is not suspected to be a factor in the crash, but routine toxicology tests are pending.
In 2009, Louisiana State Police Troop F Troopers have investigated thirty-seven (37) fatal crashes resulting in forty-three (43) deaths. Contact Information,
