This crash claimed the life of an Alabama man. The initial investigation by State Police revealed the crash occurred as a 2006 Toyota Scion, driven by 62-year-old Raymundo Lozano of Montgomery, AL, was traveling west on LA Hwy 150. For reasons still under investigation, the Scion failed to negotiate a left hand curve and traveled off the right side of the road. After leaving the roadway, the vehicle struck a railroad track and began to rollover. Lozano, who was properly restrained, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lincoln Parish Coroner’s Office. Toxicology samples were obtained and will be submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation. In 2020, Troop F has investigated six fatal crashes resulting in seven deaths.
